Labels, labels and more labels

How big is the overall label printing market? The North America print label market currently stands at roughly eight billion dollars and is expected to reach 9.5 billion dollars by 2026. That’s a whole lot of labels! The shorter run label market has exploded and continues to grow as well. Did you know that nearly 30% of all the jobs in the U.S. label printing industry are run lengths of less than 5,000 linear feet?

The capital investment in the higher-end equipment is significant and thus requires consistent, long run production. The majority of companies serving these top-end markets are laser-focused on those longer runs and generally are not looking to involves themselves in the shorter run world.

The short run work is out there! Think of all the “craft industries” such as beverages, foods, etc. As these craft industries continue to grow, and they will, the label demands that they create will continue to grow as well. The short-run label market is under-served. Opportunity exists right here and right now as well as for the future!
